Another world, 2009, 420 x 375 cm, variable dim. of packages, ink on paper – drawing, print on canvas and paper – packages
The starting point is the map of the world. The cartographic depiction is interwoven with a map of the feelings, everything I experience day by day. Some people write their diary in words, but this is a diary of lines and forms that problematize the everyday, from social problems I see on tv to personal fears and joys, similar to every other human being. I have collected different thoughts in the diary through nine months that also have simbolic meaning. Nine months is the time a child spends in its mother’s womb. After that it develops and it is ready to face all those feeling. This work of art aims to illustrate the majority of emotions a person has towards the values the author considers as basic (love, faith, wisdom, peace, social environment, nature and morality) and universal as “pictorial writing”. Therefore I decided to promote seven values – the gifts of “products of life” that are within the grasp of our hands and hearts, but just need to be encouraged within ourselves and others. These gifts cannot be bought, but are available to everyone. By packing them into recognizable packaging I put them into object form to encourage the viewers to question the true values of human existence and communication.
