Point of View, 2012, installation, drawings, video, photography
Point of View is the work of two artists: Ana Sladetić and Miran Šabić. The work was made in Berlin, at an I-A-M residency space. The work gives a vision of personal cartography, which does not map so much space, but intimate states through sightseeing. “Random selection of locations unrelated to the famous attractions of the German capital and their interpretation taken as an artistic task, reveal to us that these two artists not only attach importance to the familiar, beaten path, but want to underline the individual, momentary, irrelevant. In every intersection or underpass there is a possibility of artistic fascination that just needs to be expressed. Ana Sladetić will do this by separating the urban detail from the densely textured map, and Šabić will reach for the metaphor of a face – the face of a passer-by or a self-portrait, mostly a human figure in which the urban space is reflected.”*
